After your Opinions (Your chance to shape this program)

Currently working on the Job and Parts tracking side of things.

I have a choice of a job containing parts, or a Job containing parts and parts containing components.

Take Braided Brake Hose Fitting as an example.

Job > Required Parts - Would be like this

Job name: Fit new brake hoses
Parts required: Braided brake Hoses , Banjo Bolts , Copper Washers

Or

Job > Major Part > Sub Components - Would be like this
Job Name: Fit new Brake Hoses
Primary Part: Braided Brake Hoses
Components: Banjo Bolts
Copper Washers

Or something completely different!

I also think the job containing parts is the way to go. Simple, but effective.

I'll try not to get carried away, And keep it as simply as possible.

Talking of getting carried away. I got my diy ODBII to USB interface working today, So far i can send a command and recieve a responce. i just need to understand the responce.

Would this be of interest to anybody. Or do you all have your own solutions?

Could you just keep it as one box stating the main assembly and part # and a tab or ghosted window that you can open for displaying the detailed components? Not all assemblies will state every part but if they did then you could check to see if all was present and correct.
