Found a Connector
The purple and black are for the cigar lighter, these ones are yellow/white and green
Please excuse the dirt, I will attempt to clean it before i put the console back in

My car is of a similar vintage, I don’t recall having an connector down in the bowels, I shall look tomorrow, if required. After that I’m away.

It can’t be “live” as that circuit is open, becoming active when the green is linked to white/yellow; is there a warning light or a “bong” noise, on cars with this facility?

Though there is an extra light required in the centre of the consol for the seat belt warning, the PCB is the same as the UK version (ie they are one and the same which I still cannot understand and MGR refused to help). On the PCB there is space for an extra couple of light fixtures but the tracks are all their to fit an additional light fixture. The most difficult bit of all this was attaching the light fixture (which I took from a PCB I purchased) which is attached by pins to the PCB so some careful soldering was required to attach the pins to the PCB.

From my experience, not as a participant you understand, but as a spectator, but the noise a "bong" makes, is a sort of bubbling sound..........not the most useful warning sound as it might be a bit hard to hear over the normal sounds the car and other traffic might make, and of course the smoke may intoxicate the driver.........not that would do anything to discourage any of pot heads I've known.......Indeed it would be their very aim!a “bong” noise
🚬😵💫🤣
