Not that I frequented it as often as the T bar but I am sad to see the MGF Register forum has just gone the way of the dodo.

Their forum URL now shows just shows an error message. A visit to the MGF Register's home page has a notice that their shop site is suspended but their forum has closed and won't be returning. It must be quite a loss for their regulars including the very well informed Rob Bell. I hope those guys find their way over to the T bar and can find a new home here.

I do wonder how you concluded that MGF Register forum will not be returning? You have some inside informations?

The register website states that the forum has closed due to lack of use, and refers to the Facebook page.

That's too bad about their forum, so much information is lost forever when them shutting down their forum webpage. I much prefer a forum or a facebook page, facebook is terrible for searching for information.

I’m with you on that one Cobber. I nearly replied what is f—-book.
But thought better of it . Never joined that band of brothers  but may have to give in and swallow pride.

I'll leave it, twatter, pricktock et all to the effluencers, those self absorbed attention seeking oxygen thieves, effluence me to tears!

I don't think it's archived on the way back machine, I only realised a couple of weeks ago it was down, if I had know I would have tried downloading a copy of the site

It could be worth contacting the Register guys through contact details on their homepage or via farcebook to ask if they have archived certain threads or technical information. It's bad form their forum was pulled without any prior announcement. Oddly their sister MGB Register forum which is so quiet it can go weeks without a new post, let alone a new thread, is still active. (If you can call it that)

I'm happy to stand it back up for archive purposes,  I have however been completely ignored by the register.

Well how refreshing to find its not just me.
I signed off f.b. a very long time ago, about the time I realised life is too short to dabble in boll*&ks.

The first I knew was on here, when I got an email about our monthly MGF and TF drive but no mention of the forum having been taken down, just that a new online shop will be launched soon.
Like several of you I have never used F***book but my three sons and their families use it, they somehow manage to control it rather than it controlling them. However it does seem a good way to buy and sell cars, our middle son uses it for finding sports cars to buy in the winter and to sell in the spring. He currently has a Westfield, as Elise and a Cayman. The immaculate low mileage, fully specked Cayman with a full Porsche service history was under £9000. I sometime consider joining but always decide the pain isn't worth it.
