As above really...

I've opened an account with "5quidhost" (they do a free one with basic functionality) so I could get a basic online presence.... unfortunately the days of getting online webspace free with your broadband are long gone

To the people that use one here... Who do you use and why?

Heart internet and 1&1 areOK I've used heart loads of times they are cheap, reliable offer web scripts / compatibility and cms support. Psymon might recommend some too

Depends on what you want to host, but for something simple i'd go along with Ben's recommendation of 1&1 as well.

Have no personal feedback but I know someone who uses Heart for their small business.... They recommend them and say its easy to use and support is there 24/7.

They are cheaper than 1&1 but cheaper isn't always better so worth checking out both, all depends on what you want to host?

We use Office365 for our business. The main use is for hosted Exchange but it also has hosted Sharepoint with the ability to create an external facing website. All for £5/user/month.

Back with front wheel drive and 181HP at the wheels

I use Heart, their package for just over a tenner a month gives unlimited webspace and unlimited (i believe) bandwidth plus full 24/7 support. My site is over 30gb at mo because of old event galleries (I run an events photography business, or used to until the crap weather last year cancelled all the events)

heart was very good for a Joomla site I did for the school I used to work with. The prom photos spanned over 2GB of data and they were spot on with their support.

I use Vidahost for 2 of my ecommerce sites. The customer support has been brilliant on the 2 occasions I've needed it. 12 minute response time on New Years day!
