I whipped up a cubby holder on saturday morning , I bought a used blanking plate £13 and some red felt £1.50.
I was going to fiberglass it all but then thought it`s hardly going to be holding a gold bar, so after I had made the cardboard template test fit and realising how stong the card board was I just made it out of hard plastic and bonded it all together , I made a nice round lip for the front out of 3 core cable and covered it in felt .
only took a morning to knock up

They speak a different language in Australia, an innocent word or phrase over hear would send an Australian into paroxysms of laughter. I commented on rooting for a wire, the act of rooting takes on an entirely different meaning in the land of the southern cross.
So we’ll keep knocking bits & pieces up & Cobber will continue to derive great amusement from our innocent endeavours.
Good on ya mate, you keep rooting & knocking up in the morning.

I dont recommend using a jigsaw as i went a tad too far in one corner and had no room to rectify the curve, i was going to get a dremel, until I saw the price of them ! anyway for a total of £15 it`s good enough , so here it is
