Hi peeps, thanks Kara for letting me in ;)

I'm James and I like talking about cars - hence -Talkingcars

We've just bought our first F in BRG although we've been talking about it for over 9 years since we first met. In the meantime we've had a mg metro, mg maestro 1600, 2 mg maestro 2.0i (still got one of them), mg montego and mg montego turbo (non runner).

Currently we have a MGZS180 (mine), MGZR160 (Mrs Talkingcars), MG Maestro T16 (toy), the MGF VVC in BRG (weekend car) and my son has a Rover 111.

Welcome - some nice cars you have had - the old Montego Turbo was (and still is) a damn fine piece if technology!

Welcome. Nice selection of cars you have:)

I had a 2.0 litre MG Maestro back in 1991, it was a 1990 facelift model with the cross spoke alloys in red, prior to that another 2.0 litre Maestro MG that one was a 1985 model in silver - good cars.

Cheers peeps - there are no photos yet as the car is absolutly bog standard except for smoked side indicators and she's currently fitted with a Rover branded radio cassette as the MG one needs the code (came out of my mums R114 when I scrapped it). There is a small rip in the roof and we've now also got a black hardtop which is in the garage for the summer.

Funnly my maestro is also a facelifted one, a '91 but is now fitted with VVC 5 spokes and the original cross spokes went to a triumph dolomite owner.
