Hi Steve, I completely understand your doubts, but I have already bought the balls from hahsltd.co.uk. I modified other spheres by welding the valve. after 2-3 years they all end up the same way, the membrane breaks. I'm not sure that my modification is 100% functional, but I think we should invent something otherwise in a few years we will all be left with unusable cars. I've seen all the solutions, the one by Mike Satur with spring shock absorbers, functional but the car is no longer original. Suplexes break the frame and make a lot of noise. The FTuned modification from Malaysia was abandoned due to frame failure. I really like the MGF car and I don't want to scrap it.

As a further update, I have been in touch with both RimmerBros and Xpart concerning these part failures. They affirmed that I am the first customer to complain about this. They stated they sell many of these handles and never have a problem. As a measure of goodwill, they offered to send a new handle. I recommended to them that they make this part with a thicker post to improve on the original flawed design. I doubt Xpart will but both companies were nonetheless responsive and polite.

How interesting, that's exactly the same response I got when I complained about the Suplex spring in a can system. :pop: :slapme:

We purchased a Suplex Coil Spring Conversion Kit from Rimmer Brothers on 26 April 2016.
The system has worked well until recently when it appears that the rear offside shock absorber has failed.
We are now having difficulty sourcing just the shock absorbers.
Does anyone have any experience of similar problems, or advice as to how to source the shocks?

Rimmer Bros advised to rotate the spring units 180 degrees. We (read: my MG mechanic) did this today and.... no more squeaking!!! 🥳

Good luck with getting your Experts to sort it out i know an owner who tried to stop his squeaking and banging, Suplex provided replacement rear cans that were uprated , they replaced the shock absorbers twice, all without results, he now ''just lives with it'' - good luck with yours
