evening. I tried to reset the adaptions on my dads cvt gearbox and it says adaptions complete but when I look it up on the live data it says adaption not allowed?
And the gearbox is not going into adaption mode?

When the CVT is put into adaptation mode the LCD screen should alternate between F and N.
Is that happening?

The pscan software does make you click on the button twice. The first time puts the instructions on the screen and the second time is a sort of "are you really sure?" check. Did you click on it twice?

Yeah clicked it twice and it says adaption complete but it isn't going into adaption mode. I should point out that we don't have the lcd screen as the engine and gearbox are in a trike.

OK this is for future reference if anyone else has a similar issue. I wanted to fast adapt this gearbox as it was a replacement as the old one was snatching and changing gear randomly. Anyway it wouldn't let me fast adapt and the box would go in reverse and drive only and would stay in a high gear(4th I reckon), after going through all the wiring I found that dad had not plugged output sensor back in from the gearbox. Now plugged in and now I'm able to use the fast adapt. So thanks everyone its now fixed.
Pscan to the rescue again.
Cheers Chris

 Glad you got it up and running.

When I said pix, I meant of the trike  I probably should’ve been more specific

I doubt whether the ECU will go into adaption mode if it sees errors.
So I guess you have to read the error codes and solve any faults before you can go into adaption mode.
