That’s what I found. Apparently, they’ve only been able to sell a small part of their business.
I’ll try to find another source and have a look.

Thanks so much :)

Thanks so much, MGB 😊

I had already seen it, looks good and it’s not heavily overpriced. The (expensive) problem is buying S/H something so bulky and having it shipped to Spain without really knowing the state of it. And in my opinion a fiberglass bonnet can be the source of many troubles in the long run.

I would love to fit one to my TF but am afraid to get this way :(

The curious in me has to ask..
If the engine is in the rear why have bonnet air vents?
Is it purely aesthetics?

The bonnet vent was developed to reduce front end lift at speed by diverting air up over the car rather than under it, its not just cosmetic.

And also to get far more air getting in and out of the radiator. Supposedly, in TFs, only 25% of their capacity is used in its normal set up.

As standard there is very little airflow over the rad as its just between the front grille and the underside. Its a compromise that works only just well enough. MG Rover had experimented with bonnet venting and its said they had planned to introduce it but they went out of business first. With a vented bonnet a larger volume of air is drawn from under the car to the area around the radiator. It then escapes vertically through the bonnet vents. Airflow increases sunstantially. The front grille becomes superfluous to the airflow and is usually covered in because it is counter productive to the airflow.

The theory is that the vents are located in an aerodynamically low pressure area and actually draw air out through the radiator reducing lift by diverting air from going under the car and they improve cooling by improving air flow through the radiator, but in order to work there would be some work done to the body work under the bonnet in the radiator shroud.
The problem is doing this properly without weakening the structural integrity of the car. Depending upon the jurisdiction of where your car is registered, such modification may be illegal and/or violate the terms of insurance for those of you who care about such things.
I know my local registration authority Vicroads, would have a bloody conniption  if the knew (they wouldn't have a clue what they were looking at with our cars) and require you to jump through various hoops like setting and engineers report.

Looks good and the adjustment to the body seems to be great.
I just bought it. Will let you know about the outcome (several months from now)

Thanks so much, MGB281 :):)
