Hardtop storage 6 years 9 months ago #179432

I have just managed to get a decent hardtop for the F. Trouble is I have nowhere to put it! Do people store them outside (in a bag obviously!)?

The neatest solution I've seen was a pulley system that raised it up to the garage roof out of the way.

The best place to store a hardtop is either on someone else's car or eBay.

Obviously it depends what storage you have, ideally in a garage, then shed, I've even heard of guest bedroom, dining room and bath.

However mine lived outside for 3 years. If you do this I wouldn't put it in a bag as it'll retain damp.

Yeah, emailed the company making the bags and they don't recommend using them outside, so looks like a corner of the living room (no room in the shed!).
