I'm in the process of doing up my TF and thinking of changing the engine from 1.6 to 1.8 as it will require a lot of components would a donor vehicle be the best option. the Brakes and suspension will be all new as well as a lot of other things. Also which would be the better of 1.8,s to look out for.

I understand decisions like this are a personal thing, but as prices for decent TF's are quite low would you not be better selling your existing car and buying a 1.8TF and doing that up?

Maybe a VVC?

Donner cars can get quite "messy" to deal with!

If you have the space and time for a donor car I'd say to go for it, take what you need and sell the rest.

I know the history of mine and i.m the second owner the car has been stored for 3 years.
