Has anyone fitted a MGOC splitter to their F? 7 years 1 month ago #176781

The title says most of it. I'm thinking about fitting the splitter that MGOC supply but I've never actually seen one and wonder if anyone here has and whether it makes any difference to lift?

I guess the answer to my question is 'no'.

If I go ahead and purchase the splitter, I'll provide some photos.

I have K&H-type of front splitter installed on my F. I thought it made the car seem more stable at speed, but my wife's F doesn't have one and it handles the same at highway speeds as mine with the splitter.

I bought mine from these guys: http://www.car-body-kit.co.uk/mgf.html

They sell the trophy & KH type splitters, both seemed to work well on my old F, if these are the type your on about.

Fitted this one to mine, wouldn't be without it, makes the front end more stable and looks good.
Be prepared, you will get covered in tiger grip sealant/glue fitting it and you may learn a few new swear words but the end result is worth it. :broon: :broon:

I have a trophy splitter on my F and agree with Mickle5 about stability.

Originally they are held on with 5mm thick double sided foam strip so I used this when I first fitted mine which was fine until I caught the pavement parking nose in first on our first day in Naples, the foam pulled off and wouldn't reattach properly, even when starting from scratch again. I resorted to sikaflex, equivalent to tiger seal but free I get it from work.

Hi mickle5 where did you get yours from. I've got a splitter on mine but I want something less in your face more understated.

Apologies for not replying sooner but I've been travelling with just my phone.

The splitter I'm looking at is indeed no3 in the MGOC link:

Not sure why it says pre 2000?
