Hi all .

Im missing the manifold heat shield on my mk1 mgf . Although ive had my car for nearly 2 years and its been missing since ive had it i would like to replace it as i want to protect the coolant pipes and alternator from getting heat damaged . Anyone know where i could source a heat shield from ??

Rimmer brothers for new parts. E bay or just google the part to find the item.

Cheers for that . Can anyone confirm the mk 1 heat shield is actually 2 seperate heat shields ? 1 for alternator side and the other for coolant pipe side

Hi,
Go on the rimmer brothers website, and it will show you an exploded view of the heat shields, bolts etc with the part numbers.
From this view, you can determine which parts you require.

Yes but one from a mk2/TF will fit.

Rimmer lists the heat shield on the alternator side, YLP100570, no longer available, nor is the bracket. The heat shield on the coolant pipes side, WEB101230, is available, as well as the required brackets, quite cheap too.
