I am having problems with my bonnet not opening, their is tension on the boot lever, but the bonnet shut firmly, has anybody got or know of a link for a step by step how to free a mg tf bonnet, or could someone explain how to do it, many thanks

2 people. One pulls the lever, the other pulls the bonnet up. It's hard to get your nails under it, but it worked for me.

I had to do this on one car.

Make sure to lubricate the catch once it's open.

Sometimes gently pushing on the bonnet front (by the catch) and then going straight round the back to open helps. The latch gets stuck as said above.
