My friend has a 2004 TF and after the battery ran flat he cannot get the security System working after the battery has been charged. It does not respond and the car cannot start. He does not have the EKA code. What to do?

I don't know but them you coulis eliminate any problems with the fob

Was the alarm switched off before the battery was removed, even if only the dash flasher was cleared, if not it will be a problem but I'm not sure of the way out of this.

I often disconnect the battery and have never had an issue with the alarm. :shrug:

My first move would be to renew the battery in the fob and then go through the resynch procedure.
Lock the driver's door with the key and then press the unlock button on the fob repeatedly until the door unlocks.
