I had already thought of a strap that hooks under the front lip and the rear bottom lip as it is the angle of lift that is the problem when lifting it by yourself.
Two of these sucker handles should do it nicely though..

The suction cups only work on almost flat surfaces, so might not be suitable

yes the last thing you want is a hardtop on your foot......or one handle to buckle the roof .......maybe one handle on the glass........anyone out there brave enough. :whistle:

When I had a hard top (sold ages ago) I stored it in the study suspended from the ceiling as I was concerned that the headlining might be eaten by mice in the garage.

I used a 3:1 block system which was just powerful enough to hoist it vertically with a bridle tied to the 2 front clips which are more than strong enough to take the weight without distorting. Doesn't help you get the lump off the car though.

'Yes, installation art....I missed it when it was gone (so did the sore spot on my head) but having tried it on the car, I realized that I wasn't going to use it (but I don't want to criticise anyone who loves their hardtop - live and let live).

Hi, yes, I'm getting a bit fed up with lifting the top on and off but my car is parked in a terraced street at times and I worry about the health of the soft top.
So much so that I was considering this to deter the casual slasher.
