Hi guys, I've just replaced the rear discs, pads and calipers on my F due to one of them sticking resulting in a warm hub! Am I right in saying that the 1mm gap between the linkage and caliper stop as stated in the manual is there to put a very slight tension on the handbrake at all times? I await your comments.

Basically, yes.
And so you don't over-tighten the handbrake cable in the cabin.
