I don't know if this has been covered before, I have looked but unable to find.
I have had a smell of petrol after a run but haven't managed to find anything. I decided to do what others on the forum have suggested and replaced the original spring clips on the fuel hose with jubilee clips. whilst doing this I have discovered a slight leak from the fuel filter. I have tried replacing the filter, but still a small leak. I suspect the screw thread on the inlet side is u/s. I am thinking of buying a fuel hose adapter, the one that is fitted to the outlet side of the filter, and cutting the threaded inlet section and joining the two with a length of flexi petrol pipe.
Another option I have read about is to cut both threaded sections and replacing the complete filter with one off a ford focus with flexi petrol hose.
Any thoughts or suggestions welcomed.

You must use proper high pressure fuel injection hose, not just the old stuff used on carburettor equipped cars.
And you should bubble flare the pipe and use top quality clamps.

I think I mis-understood a thread about changing a fuel filter.
It was mentioned that the pipes were "kin tight" into the filter. Now I know what "kin tight" means, I kin tightened them as much as I could.
No leaks now...
