I've currently got my TF 160 VVC engine in bits investigating oil in the coolant and I came across this rubber seal. Two thirds of the seal was wedged in the PRT. By sheer luck I found the other third between a pair of cylinder liners. Does anybody recognise this seal? Is it part of the PRT or do I need to look elsewhere? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I don't recognise that seal from anywhere. But I've never taken a prrt to pieces. It doesn't look as if it could come from anywhere in the cooling system. Could it be something used in the old thermostat housing?
