Gutted, my Trophy failed his MOT recently, it failed for front subframe corrosion. I've decided to spend a bit of money doing the job, and replace wishbones, replace bushes for poly bushes, paint the Hydrospheres and generally tidy it all up. After looking about I decided to by a brand new subframe from Rimmerbros for about £300 VS a 2nd hand one, and the plan is to treat it before I fit it. I assume the paint will be a rubbish on the new one as it was on the original ones therefore was thinking of getting it off and doing a POR15 treatment on it, and then maybe Waxoyl it for safe measure.
What do you guys think, is POR15 the best thing to use or would you recommend powder coating instead ?
