Hmm, interesting.
Anyway, I'm after the early 'harder to fit' type that doesn't have the sausage holding flappy bit.

I have a cunning plan...

I put my "not rubbish, but harder to fit without the training sausage type" tonneau in the washing machine on a wool cycle as the orange inner foam had stared to shed orange dust everywhere. It works well and looks great. even without the orange foam. ;) :woowoo:

And my boot lid is still flush B)

Yeah The evil sausage has lifted my boot lid slightly on one side :yesnod:
But then maybe it was the person who closed the boot lid on it

It will bugger up.

Should have put a ;) on that!

I tried ours on the car once and then spent a happy hour hoovering the specks of foam from everywhere! plus, it's the crappy OEM one that seems to be designed to fit another car entirely.....
It will be all right in the end. If it isn't all right yet, then it is not yet the end..

Before wash...

Sprayed over with a lot of 1001 carpet cleaning spray and gently worked in then put on 30 degree wash with little powder and no spin or conditioner.

A quick spray over with some black or red fabric paint should hide the remaining orange bits and make it all look as good as new.

I had to use a couple of coats of a solution of water and PVA wood glue to stop the foam from disintegrating any more this has worked wonders and I no longer get the orange specs. When I next dye my hood I'm going to dye the inside of the fabric the same colour. I use liquid boot polish to do the leather bits, it buffs up well.
