I know there is always a growing list of stuff you want to do but this is intended to be a list of stuff you've bought / been prepared to do but then havent done yet for whatever reason.
Ill start;
Drivers door mech as window doesnt open - had part 18 months
Boot hinges - had 15 months now
Gear knob with starter button (not even fitted knob, let alone wire it in - too scared) - a year
Number plates - a month
Window stopper thingy (for passenger) - 3 or 4 months
Rear n/s hub (i think it is - from when i was told bearings might be going) - about 15 months
AP calipers (cant get pins out at mo) - 12 months
AP sized discs / pads - 12 months
TF snorkel - 6 months maybe
Brake servo brackets - 6 months
Front and Rear polybushes - over a year

So these are parts all hanging around my front room waiting for me to grow a pair and try to do myself with my limited tools / skills / space, or enlist some aid (professional or otherwise).

I think you need some more bits to add to that list....

Checkout my hoard of stuff. This tells you I also had big plans but life takes over, car jobs are now essential only.

You are not alone...I have to fit:

Stainless steel coolant pipes & clamps
Full set of new brake discs & pads
Cambelt/tensioner/waterpump
+ find a solution to connecting the passenger air bag

Paradoxically I have more time to do jobs in the winter but less inclination to work outside under a car. My only advice (to myself) is to pick it off job by job starting with the 'low hanging fruit/quick victory' first.

Now there's an idea for a Summer event? why not have a T Bar get together and focus on a couple of cars, bring tools and know how and have a few defined jobs to address on the cars. Necessary tools can be available/brought along and spare parts/components procured in advance. It would be a good opportunity to help members knock off some of the minor jobs that have been done before. Just a thought.

Otherwise Whizz, I am up for run down in the spring to help you do the window stop, drivers door mech and Boot hinges.

Once went to a decorating party like that, utter disaster lol.

SS Pipes-on hand-1 month
Replacement rear bumper-1 month
MS Slickshift bellcrank assy-3 months
Replacement dash-10 months
SS manifold/downpipe-12 months
Rear view camera-18 months
Silicone hoses, PRT-18 months
And...lots of other bits and pieces that I have forgotten!

My to do list is very small .

Fit speaker trim to passenger door
Sort out 2mm grinder hole on flex pipe
Photograph and sell

Oh and a good wash and carnuba wax wouldn't go a miss either

New discs and pads all round
New lh rear caliper (rh done)
Sort out window leaks

Not necessarily in that order!

Change over freshly prepared front subframe.
Prepare rear subframe
Fix cam cover oil leak
Obtain and prepare replacement cam cover. (Mine has a seized plug cover screw stuck in it).
Final fettle of interior, new binnacle front, clean up walnut effect.
Paint rear bumper or source replacement.

A new to do...

1. Centre Console gloss black and fit chrome rings (will be lovely jubbly)
2. Fit speaker trim to passenger door
3. Sort out 2mm grinder hole on flex pipe / rattle - probably be needing a new flex pipe now.
4. Adjust front bumper gap to bonnet
5. Find front fog switch and wire up to relay / power

All in all a days work (That I don't have the time for yet. Maybe after Xmas...

Then wash, wax and get some photos up ready for the selling

Cambelt waterpump thermostat tensioner
Remap for 200hp
Fuel flap switch
Osr lamp cluster

Not much else!
