Just a quickie, let's hope the solution is just that.
At idle, my TF revs just below 1000 rpm and the needle stays perfectly still, but the engine note increases and decreases, even after it's up to temperature and been driving for a while.
It's had new sparks. Thoughts? Been like that since we bought it a couple of months back.

hunting idle - check for vacuuuuum leaks, idle control valve could need a fettle.. :yesnod:

Idle speed should be around 850-875 rpm. If it's set higher it is possible the ecu is trying to pull it down using the IACV.:shrug:

Ok. Why does the needle remain stationary instead of bobbing about in time with the increasing and decreasing revs.

I know if I watch the tickover on Torque live data it varies a lot more than the tacho needle would indicate.
