Myself, self professed hater of splitters, spoilers and other Satanic bodywork has to admit that........
That rear end view with the spoiler looks rather good!

Honda Prelude you say.....
Hmmmm........

I maybe feel a scrapyard visit coming on. An order of primer and Ignition Blue paint...... Digging out the spray gun.

Mother, what's happening to me? :-? Heeeeeeelp........
It will be all right in the end. If it isn't all right yet, then it is not yet the end..

Next you'll be putting LEDs on that spoiler, John...

The prelude spoiler is from a '93i (I think). The original spoiler studs that go through the boot are-
1 - too short
2 - had snapped on ours
We fibreglassed M10 threads into the holes and then for further support bonded stainless washers for extra support.
Doing it again, and if the holes in the spoiler had been a bit smaller, I'd use M8 studs. The studs pass through the boot where it's double skinned, but it's not really a problem. The stud at the rear also sit over the rubber boot seal if you use the original holes, but there are easy ways round that. We've finished it off with a bit of compressible foam under the feet that disappears to virtually nothing.
All in all it took a couple of hrs, but well worth the effort.
Think it's this type:

This one too, cheapest I've seen so far

Thinking about it, the original studs might be long enough... The ones from ours are are still on the boot at the breakers :-)

I think not. :nonod:

The look is akin to that of our old CRX: a close profile to the boot rather than set high.
It will be all right in the end. If it isn't all right yet, then it is not yet the end..

Thanks Tim. I'll keep an eye on the eBay offerings, but I think I'll wander in to DA Autoparts tomorrow morning. You never know. :pop:
