oil filler bracket 11 years 1 week ago #118113

I noticed my oil filler bracket had snapped. I have a nice chrome replacement but cannot locate details on what bolt to buy to attach to the block as the original appears lost. Anyone know?

Yeah. :yesnod: 17 attaches the bracket to the filler and 18 attaches the bracket to the engine.
18 is M8x 16
17 is M6 x 12

The oil filler on my tf is loose due to the bracket coming adrift from the engine block. The bracket isnt broken, the threaded insert in the engine block whick looks like its plastic has pulled out. Its still attached to the bracket by the bolt. Anyone else had this happen? I was thinking of glueing it back with epoxy. The insert looks a bit split but not seen them listed as a replacement.

It's a common thing..

I welded mine back together.. And then welded a penny washer to it..

I locktited the bolt back in to stop it coming loose again
