I agree with Silverstone being smack in the middle of June it makes it awkward - especially when a friend and myself (him on his motorbike) are hoping to roadtrip down to south west at some point...

I didnt get to go to Janlanders jolly outing due to Mrs being up the duff. I'm determined to get to this one.

My mistake, it is the quality that counts no good having a big leaky one when a smaller quality one keeps you snug.........besides big ones are hard to get up on your own anyone got experience of the two man pop up ones?

Ive only ever had one two man pop up experience... wasnt as good as advertised although was still quick to get up and in before getting soaked.

As one of the original suggestions was the Peak District, I have come up with 3 sights in or near Ashbourne

This sight has big rally field & all amenities inc bar/restaurant.
There is a Travelodge in Ashbourne + many Hotels & B&B's
The other 2 sights are;

If there a lot going it would pay to hire a Marquee to use as a meeting & relaxing area.

1) You need to nominate or volunteer someone to take charge.

2) You need to decide a date.
End of June is good.

3) You need to decide an area
Close to motorways is best for maximum accessibility.

4) You need to find a location.
Somewhere that has camping and proper accommodation would be best, we don't do tents anymore for instance.

And above all - remember you wont be able to suit everyone so don't try to.

Hmm....weighing up the pros and cons, maybe we would be perhaps better organising to meet up at an existing event. For us, the main focus of a T Bar get-together would be to put faces to names:
Silverstone is fairly central and many on here will be going in any case.
All that would remain would be to sort a meeting point and time. We'll be going on the Sunday: its only an hour away for us.

So, what d'you think?
