Drivers door lock... retaining clip 11 years 3 months ago #101714

Hi,

new to this forum.. but I have a question I need an answer for..

the clip the holds the lock into the Door handle... how do yuo refit it?

is there a special technique? or a special tool needed?

Persistance unfortunately. It should just slip in though. Make sure the barrel is positioned correctly though

the clip number 9....

its impossible to get my hands anywhere near where it needs to be

Insert it upside down, instead of a 'n' make it a 'u'

As John says, insert it from below. It is also easier to fit, if the lever in the diagram is not attached to the door lock until you fit the clip!

I know when i removed it.. it was definately at the top...

No it will hold fine. I put mine in that way around, and it's still in place after 18 months.

mine is in upside down, it was the only way I got it fitted 12 months in situ no issue
