I tried some of that American spray-on stuff in an aerosol from Demon Tweeks. It sort of worked, and it was easier to apply inside the doors but it will never do as good a job as the panels shown above that absorb the noise energy properly and dampen the panel vibrations. I figured it might also be a useful anti-rust spray if nothing else.

Because its American its a 1/4 thick they also do 1/8 and 1/2 inch. But the dynaliner does come in big roles and made all the difference with the doors

Be very carful with the expanding foam mate as it can pop the panels out, I wouldn't use it myself. ;)

I did my car and the hardtop makes a huge difference

Hi, This is really timely as I'm just thinking about redoing the insulation and roof lining of my (unused) hardtop.

Can I ask please, did you replace the fabric lining straight onto this dyna product and did you glue it?

When I did mine I removed the lining, and used 10mm closed cell foam as its lighter then re-fitted the lining

Look on e bay for closed cell foam

You are totally right... Which is why supercar manufacturers bring out race versions with no soundproofing.. Or luxuries.. As every ounce counts

Personally I want a GT that I can take down to Italy etc... I'd rather go a little slower and be quieter than bit faster and deaf lol

But yes adding soundproofing adds weight and kills performance
