But after spending the last month looking after Becca`s brothers 330ci m-sport convertable (he`s in Australia for 6 weeks) I think the TF will most likely be sold in the spring....Guess its time to move on and i must say driving the Beemer has been a revalation regarding comfort and smoothness. Heated seats with the roof down FTW lol.
Hopefully I can find an enthusiast to buy the TF after years of pampered....

I did look at a few 330ci's to the point of joining BMW forums but the stuff that goes wrong seems to go really wrong, to the point where you cant just fix it in your garage. Rear subframes are seemingly made of chocolate, have a good look round for one that's not just been thrashed about.

But they are nice looking cars, get a lot of car for your money, same as with the F/TF's now.

Sorry to hear your thinking of leaving the fold Karl, but life is all about new experiences.

That stunning car of yours should attract a lot of interest. I've no doubt on a sunny spring day in Brighton someone will be willing to pay very good money for your car.

Make sure you pop back every now and again to share the wealth of knowledge you've built up.

I reckon once bitten it is hard to shake the MG bug, who knows in a few years you may regret the sale and be after another 'project'.

TBH im not expecting much of a return on the TF regardless of the time and money thats gone into her but thats the way it goes with cars, I will be hanging on to the ZR so still in the fold.

I guess the search for the BMW starts here.....

Just a bit of an update re: selling the TF.

Had a couple of weeks now to have a drive of various replacements, a few beemers a Subaru and a rather nice mk5 R32 Golf.
All very nice cars but even if I get decent price for the TF I will still have to throw a few ££££`s in and in reality the TF is worth very little :(

So the answer after doing the sums is to Keep the TF for the summer and get a ZS 180 as the daily driver, a win, win i believe :yesnod:

That's mixed news but sounds like good news, you would have regretted selling your 'Vintage Racing'. With something like the Peter Best Abingdon policy keeping it as a second car is cheap to insure and you can use all your no claims bonus on the other daily drive.

Welcome ......... back where you belong, in MG land :woohoo:
