well i took the plunge and fitted a 52mm throttle body to my mgf. it replaced the standard black 48mm. wow what a difference it has made. a nice iduction noise and better exceleration. well worth it. i might tho have to change the mems sensor tho of my old one it might be running a tiny bit fast:P :P

You might just need to do the throttle position sensor reset.

That worked when I changed mine ;)

Ray - is your car a Mk1 MGF?

If it is, and you haven't done this already, you will get a great benefit by changing the air intake systm as well.

Check my 'how to' for installing a Pipercross Viper by buying a 2nd hand unit from eBay. Total cost was about £100 for me and it not only allows the engine to breath properly but also produces a much improved engine tone.

Have to agree with everything said above, my first mod was the 52MM and a cold air system. These have been the best value for money mods I did to my F.

Is this on the 1.8i or the VVC?

But, being pedantic,it's the TPS (throttle position sensor) you're resetting not the MEMS.

Who cares as long as the car works!:yesnod::rofl:

sorry david you are right it is the tps not mems. i will deff have to swop over its starting to run erratic and high revs. i thought i had cured it by resetting pressing on the exal 5 times in 20 secs.
