A work collegue has an F with a problem with the door locks on opening the doors with either the key or the fob the doors instantly lock again can any one throw any light on this.

Most lock problems usually boil down to a faulty lock mechanism. the fact that the same problem exists when using the key tends to rule out the alarm/remote locking.

It can be as simple as the door pin (the one that sticks out the top of the door) is fouling. This causes the door to lock again almost instantly. It could also be a faulty door lock and so might need replacing.
