I am thinking of fitting and uprating the brakes, especialy the l discs as they do have a small lip! was looking at these http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/MG-TF-Rear-Drilled-Grooved-Brake-Discs-02-/290362093524?cmd=ViewItem&pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item439aedefd4#shId anybody have any experience with them are they good quality? also can you fit bigger discs at the back? Never really tried that make. Don't see any reason for them to be rubbish though. The only problem I have with unknown names is that sometimes they are made with lower grade metals which means that they corrode quicker.

You can buy kits that allow you to fit 266mm or 280mm discs to the rear. This wil give extra braking force and I have the 280mm ones fitted to mine, but you need the APs up front otherwise you will get a scary brake imballance.

Not yrt. It did pass the MOT though, so didn't have any probs.

I will try and remember this saturday.

Thanks is it easy to find 266mm or 280mm discs? and will they fit OK on the standard rear calipers? I already have the APs upfront thanks

You need a kit which moves the original caliper to suit the new discs. The discs are usually standard discs off another vehicle modded to fit the PCD of the F/TF.
