Hi everyone!

I have recently took ownership of a quite neglected 2005 tf 115 in the beautiful ignition blue.

Cars been sat dead for a while, replaced battery with a charged one, indicators flash when unlocked and locked, and the Immobiliser turns off, foot well lights turn on and off, but the doors do not unlock, every so often you can here a squeel/click from the solenoid but doesn't unlock. We've done the welding wire trick to pull the locks up from inside and still to no avail.

Is there anything else I could do before in un-velcroing the rear window and cave man into it?

I have a suspicion that the pektron unit is knackered :/
Thanks,
Adam.

If I am not mistaken TF 115 does not have central locking. You need to open the door by the key.

Yeah I seem to recall the TF115 was the poverty pack specification, and amongst various goodies that it was denied, was central locking.
Does it have lock barrels in both doors?....or is it only the drivers door that has a lock barrel? .............If it's only the drivers door that has a lock barrel, then it has central locking.

Door lock is only on the drivers side, and it has fallen into the door, yes, typical.

She's a bit of a weird spec, has glass rear window, power windows, power mirrors, central locking.

I've done the leave dead put full battery on and click unlock a bunch of times, Immobiliser turns off interior light comes on but nada on the deadlock.

Cheers,
Adam.

Not all of them, My 2002 115 came with central locking. The differences between that car and a 135's standard equipment were manual mirrors, no rear speakers or tweeters (which I added) .
The 115 version of most of the special editions seemed to have 135 level equipment as standard. Mine was just entry level though so Im assuming central locking will have been an optional extra.

Are you saying the deadlock is jammed on and if so is it one door or both doors ?

Both doors mate. It made a squeal and a faint click. Then used a different battery and it click like it was trying to do something. But both handles are loose. The door lock stubs next to the window (sorry forgot the proper name) were down, and used welding wire to pull BOTH up but it did nothing.

Hi. I recently tried to help out mate with a similar problem, however in his case the hood was open so we could turn the ignition on. All cars with central locking  have a safety feature where  in the event of an accident the Inertia switch will cut off fuel and  'Pop' the locks. Can you turn on the ignition and give the inertia switch a sharp tap on the body of the switch?  It worked for me  in this particular case.

Hi there,

Yeah in my case she's closed, and once I've un latched the glass and climbed through to unlatch the hood I'll give that a try, but I have a gut feeling the pektron relays have give up the gun. Where abouts is this inertia switch?

Cheers,
Adam.

If you open the boot and look under the  left hand side of the engine bay grille , its a small black  square shaped switch  with a multiplug at its base and a rubber cap on top near the fuel filter. As I say the ignition was on in my case but when I gave it a sharp tap , both locks opened.
