No problem.
The Rears were from TTperformance..he does the TT exhausts for our cars.
Item: 17-13886-42129
£164 for the kit plus postage.

Fronts were from
Kezzermuldooney 😁 in Southport. I think he also makes parts for model trains and engines by the looks of it.

Item: 05-13953-32575
£171 for drilled and slotted or £151 for plain discs plus postage.
He also does rears for £151 slotted or for £99 for plain discs.
He has 100% feedback over 2.2k sales. He gives instructions and a phone number in case you need help.
If you buy front and rear with plain discs ( like oem) you can get both for around £250.

I am very aware that by recommending something I could be spending someone else's money so I take that responsibility on board.
Both kits fit and work well.

Your comment, R40 on the 16”/4 pot modification mirror mine. A lot of hiperfarting for little return; there’s nothing wrong with that setup, it didn’t complement how I interpret the feel & dynamics of my car.
I’ve some stuff to unshipping in the new year, they will be on the list along with the 17” wheels, on the correct PCD & a very good set of Proxies. They are very similar to the ultralight, not as light though.

Great job,

A link to both suppliers would be great, this is high up on my list of improvements once I have her back on the road.

It’s surprising how poor the original brakes are. Even being used to Series LRs I was shocked the first time I had to brake with some more enthusiasm.

Upgrading the brakes and fitting a servo brace are a must.

I agree...
Here's a thing..after driving the car in a very spirited fashion to evaluate everything inevitably you just start to drive normally as you do in everyday driving and I started to notice that in traffic just the weight of my foot on the pedal slowed the car down.
No real pressure at all but just the weight of my foot is enough to brake in traffic.
It behaves like 'big car' brakes where you feel like you have a lot in reserve.
The Yellow pads alone didn't feel like that or I would have noticed.
The extra leverage on the discs must be the reason.
I am well aware these upgrade kits have been available for years but they are the answer to having 15 inch wheels and std brakes.
I am glad I took the plunge.

I have been using our oldest F lately and to be honest the brakes are dire!
I  had fitted the same discs and pads that I used on R40 but didn't fit a servo brace and I replaced the flexi hoses with stock rather than braided one's.
I going to order a brace and some yellow stuff pads....well it is Christmas 🎄

I think you will like the pads especially when slightly warm but they do work from cold.
My upgrades were my Christmas present to myself!
My wife thinks that everything arriving by post for my car costs "£15 plus postage"....

I fitted "yellow stuff" after discussion with Brian.  Only done 50 miles since but they immediately had more bite and confidence boost.  Now fitted stainless flexi so - maybe - better still.
The new discs had an abrasive covering intended to aid bedding in.  Interestingly it has all but gone at the rear but only half on the front.

Re # 220966 I’m rather interested in the conversion for the rear and have tried to find the source you identified.
i eventually found a website for TT exhausts but that did not show any answer for brakes, and searching on the number quoted only returned a reference to a phone system.
Do you think you could offer some more help in that search please?

Secondly I’m curious to know how the alignment for the handbrake cable finished up as VHS suggests it doesn’t work out very well.

Sorry about the links...I am hopeless with Ebay links.

The TTPerformance site you found is the right one. I would email them and ask directly. He responds to emails very quickly.

There was no issue whatsoever with the handbrake cable.
I did think that moving the calliper further away might tighten the handbrake cable but all was good.
Sorry I can't be more helpful.
