Hi All
thanks for letting me join today
picked up a 1998 MGF in British racing green yesterday, only 82k with the most comprehensive history I've ever seen in my 35 years of cars, been flicking through briefly and this does seem like a world of knowledge on here

Hello and welcome!
You have come to the right place if you have a MGF.
There are some seriously knowledgable owners on this forum and they give freely and willingly and very few things stump them!
Enjoy your stay.

Two people have welcomed you so far and one of them is an absolute fountain of knowledge with these cars. Mindblowing.

Stick with the original design if you can. The sliding replacement did not do it for me.

Gday and welcome, here is a checklist you might find useful:

The sunvisor flap is always the 1st thing broken.......I watched with amazement when Lesley 1st got in the car an managed to break the damned thing before we got going...like a bloody bull in a china shop! She grabbed it by the extension to move it instead of grabing the main part.
I often drive with both sides down at night as it helps reduce the street light glare from my eyes. and one of my pet hate is a passenger flipping it up so They can see better.........They aren't driving so what they see isn't as important as what I see........ I don't need a spotter for low flying aircraft!
