Interesting Part ? was created by Emgee48

Whilst replacing the front door speakers today, I came across this interesting part sitting loose inside the drivers door.

Yes, the speakers were well past their use by date and judging by the condition of the plastic skin under the door card, it looks like it has never been disturbed since it was built back in 1999.
So what is this part/tool for? Any ideas, just curious 🧐

No I don't recognise that as being a part of one of our cars! I suspect it's a foreigner.....but as to how it got there????????? Buggered if I know!

And yeah, I think that they got their moneys worth outta those speakers, they're past their best!

I also do not recognise above part as being part of the car, but to me it looks like manufactured by some private person and looks like some form of fence door? closing device.

Of course I recognised it immediately from the mounting hole at the rear.
This is the infamous round tuit, mentioned in just about every DIY job the missus discovers for me.
As in, "can you fix this dear?"
"Yes darling, just as soon as I get a round tuit"

I suspect some production worker is still looking for where he left it 🤣🤣. Hope his pay wasn’t docked for losing it, looks like it’s been inside the door since the day the car was assembled.
My best guess is it looks like it was designed to press/lever something into place.

Well if you ask nicely maybe Emgee48 will send it to you and then you'll have a round tuit which means you'll be able to do all those jobs that are backlogged.
I'm sure Emgee  wont want it otherwise he'd be forever doing the jobs he has been able to avoid till this damned thing turned up!

Well, interesting thought Cobber, but I cant help but feel the less the wife knows about round tuits, the easier my life will be.
