because some kind soul at 5am this morning has removed £450 from mrs.Reallys bank to buy one of those spacky white telephones that are all the rage these days.

thankfully we have their name (i cant pronounce it though) and their delivery address.

now to waste hours cancelling cards and getting crime numbers etc.

absolutely no idea..
thankfully paypal have refunded within minutes of our call, but it's apparently not worth contacting the police as it happens too often.

I got a call from one of my credit card companies a few years ago.
Conversation went like this:-.

'Can you confirm you're not currently in Texas?'

'Umm, definitely not in Texas...why?'

'Someone is trying to use your details to buy something expensive in Texas. We were sure it was a fraud but we thought we should just check. Don't use your card and we'll send a new one out to you, asap.'

'Err, thanks.'

It's weird because the person who took out loans in my name was a southerner.

I guess the rule is that you steal from someone at the other end of the country.

My recipient was more African.
