Stop forum emails

Can anyone tell me how to stop being bombarded by emails, I still want to use this excellent site but the number of emails is getting too much ☹️

click on your avatar on top of the page, click 'account settings'
Under the account settings you find 'other links' - 'manage alerts'.
There you set which emails you want to receive.

Interesting. I've often wondered why I virtually never receive notifications on my PC from The-T-Bar. Not even when someone sends me a private message. I just checked 'manage alerts' and every single option seems to be checked 'green' to receive emails. But I never get them. Most strange.

I also have all greens, but never received any email for new conversation, or any mail from the-t-bar at all.

I have unchecked all the boxes but still receive all emails. Looking at the other responses there might be a problem 🥺
