I know this sounds crazy but im after an original cassette player that came with the F's. I had one with a multichanger but stupidly let it go for £30. I really cant be arsed with fancy pantsy cd players now and want something original. I can get the multichanger on ebay but cant find the original headunit. Would anybody have one lying around in the garage?

Have you tried the force eject? Take off the faceplate, there should be a small hole that you can poke an uncurled paper clip in,that should eject the cd.

If you want someting simple then you DON'T want a cassette deck! they are way more mechanically complex than CD players, as such they have more to go wrong, ending up in them chewing up tapes.
Cassette technology was bloody awful back in the day when it was new, but we put up with it because it was the only show in town.
Now remember that any tape deck you find is already going to have some wear and tear as it will be getting on a bit.

For simplicity's sake you'd be better of with a head unit that has a USB port to play MP3 files off a memerory stick.
