Hi Everyone - I live in South Devon near Brixham and have picked up an old MGF (2001) Mk2 from ebay for £450 as a spring project - she has done 120K and showing signs of the dreaded rot around the arches and air in takes but enigine semms sweet and responsive , gear box smooth and no over heating !! Hood is in good conditoin and was told it has been reproofed recently
She is a standard 1.6 and needs a bit of TLC ....will be good as new (well almost) when I have finsihed
Plan is to give her some upgrades on a small budget - so more ebay searching and bargins on the way !
1) Sort the rot spots and give her a real good waxing
2) replace bl;ack wing mirrrors with body coloured ones (Tihati blue)
3) replace standard black mesh for sliver on the air intakes and fromt grills
4) Cream leather seats and trims to replace black cloth seats which are a bit worn
5) Probably needs some work done on suspension and track rod ends
Hopefully it will all come together and look the part for thr summer - fingers crossed

Hi All - many thanks for the warm welcome - well the fun begins now and as it was too damn cold to do any work on her I had a go at bargin hunting to tick off my wish list instead - biggest ebay win of the weekend was £50 for a pair of cream leather seats, local guy not more that 8 miles away... 
collected them tonight they need a good clean up and some leather treatment but should be better looking than the black cloth ones... also managed to get a pair of Tahiti blue wing mirrors for £5 ..look in very good nick .
Q- Should I continue on this thread or set up a new one under showroom to up load pictures and status reports on progress?
