Hello MGF fans 11 years 8 months ago #63686

Hello everybody been hanging around this forum for a little while now. Thought it was about time I joined and said Hello!

I dont know anyone here and never been on a member of a forum before, so go easy with me.

Love my F to bits its a 98 abingdon VVC.
She's called Gina. Had her for a few years now. She generally only comes out in the summer on sunny days. (she doesn't like rain). :nonod:

I am based around the south london/ Surrey area.

I have picked up lots of advice from here and saved a few quid here and there :broon:

Only mods are K&N air filter and T Bar speakers! Dont want to go mad with the mods as I like her just the way she is.
But I have spent plenty of time browsing what you guys do to yours and I am amazed with what I see, it truly is great viewing :broon:

Here are some rough pics taken the other day on my phone. Hopefully get some better ones up soon.
Also wouldn't mind getting on a run with you guys. May have a go at the sussex tunnel run if I can be squeezed in ;)

That's an Alan Minter mate! Similar to mine except for silly exhaust, de-badge and tan hood.

Where did you get that and how much if i may ask?

Bongo.

Cheers Bongo

To be honest, it was given to me by my Dad. He bought it in 2003. Gave it to me a couple of years ago. I actually went with him when he bought it. He paid around £8000 or so at the time.

It is in really good condition. Just under 50k on the clock. Wheels need a refurb, hood is just about reaching the end of its life, but the body panels are in fantastic condition for a car of its age.

It is just a shame that even in good condition these cars are just not worth anything these days.
Not that I'm selling!

Alan.
