Hi from Bristol 12 years 1 week ago #48916

Hi all, just joined having recently purchased a 2002 TF135 Sprint with 40,000 miles on it, big learning curve, I had forgotten the quirks of British motors but it's all coming back to me now. Don't get me wrong I love all things British with the exception of potholes but in motor and motorcycle terms we sure knew how to make the Japs look good. Maybe that's why they have a motor industry and we don't.

in motor and motorcycle terms we sure knew how to make the Japs look good.

I think that's still being done with 'SAIC' the Shanghai Automotive Industry Corporation. Oh, they're Chinese aren't they. :) Well, whatever, welcome to the forum and have fun.

Later... ooh, I see you've had a few nice cars in the past and well done on maintaining a clean drivers licence since 1965. Probably more luck than judgement that one. I know those Supras and MR2's can break the 30mph Bristol land speed record when pushed.

There's another gent on here who recently came over to the darkside from the MR2 club. All are welcome here. :broon:

Nice to see so much activity on a forum
According to the average speed readout on my old SAAB my average speed in Bristol over a year was 16mph and that was before the traffic calming. Thanks to luck I live 30yds into Bristol so the A38 is my escape route.
