just plain old matt black spray paint
ebay

its sprays really well and has good coverage although I am having to keep the cans constantly warm in this weather, also using a trigger that fits to them to save wearing out my fingers :P

So much for me not spending any money on the car though (sorry wife lol)

Thankyou, I was dressed like the michelin man but my fingers felt like they were going to drop off. would be great to have the luxury of a garage, my driveway is covered but quite narrow to work & had to set up a tarpaulin at one end to stop the snow blowing in. :P

I'm nearly happy with the results, the front could have done with a couple more thin coats & I'm not really happy with the bonnet but the wind finally got the better of me, If anyone else is planning painting with rattle cans then buy a can trigger, its worth its weight in gold

Thanks, I need to get the v5 posted off this week. I did think about a clearcoat but the car looks quite good as it is so maybe pushing it by trying to clear coat as well, I've used 22 x 500ml cans so it has got a good layering of paint
