MGF refurb Colour opinions 9 years 9 months ago #146873

After dropping a bonnet hinge off the shelf on to my wing as pictured and a few other little inperfections that have happened since i repainted my mgf 5 years ago time for a respray.
I have removed the painted subframes running gear and bolted some old scabby ones back up as i dont want dust and overspray on them.
I am stripping the rest of bodyshell this week and off to bodyshop next weekend.
Originally i repaired a focus rs and used the leftover paint to respray the mgf ideally i should have basecoated white to bring the true effect out which i will do if i go down the same route.
I am undecided about whether to return to original racing green stay with ultima green or go for a different colour altogether,There are so many colour choices with the original paintcodes i would prefer something to stand alone if i dont go with racing green HAM.
Any ideas input would be appreciated ? i cannot make my mind up.

This is also proving a major, major headache for me as well at the moment. The problem is there's just to much choice out there when it comes to paint. The other problem i have had is that it's one thing to see a picture of a colour and try and imagine how it will look on my car, and how it would actually look in real. I have now changed the original paint I had in mind for another colour. The solution i found was to pick my favorite colour, then take a look on something like house of kolour's website and look at all the different shades of that colour that they do. I then ordered samples of my top favorite 3 shades and will do test spray's on the car before making a final decision. The other thing you can do is use a program like photoshop 6 to change the colour of your car before you buy. There is an option on photoshop where if you have the paint code, you can input it, and after some playing around change the whole car to that colour. Hope that helps
