For some unknown reason. Brian's post revealing the answer had been 'soft deleted'. I've restored it and all should now make sense.


Thanks David, it took 4 attempts to upload the images, it kept saying that the upload was successful but nothing was shown; strange!

Another tool that I made and used on my MGF.
Badger probably knows what it is?
If my memory is right a 17mm socket is used.
Any ideas ???

Yep a 17mm socket is used, I do know but lets see what others think.

hmm, it holds something in place that would turn with the bolt otherwise...

Had to LOL when I saw your post as I had only made one a few days before earlier in preparation for doing my head gasket.
Image as below, just making sure it works before final assembly.
