Time to get a set of Pry Bars. They are specifically designed for those times when things a well and truly stuck. They have a thicker shaft than a screwdrive, a wider end which is set at an angle to give you a pivot.
I bought this set a couble of years ago, it was one of teh best tool investments I ever made.
There are plenty of others on e-bay

I have one of these and it is invaluable not only in car maintenance but may jobs around the house and garden.
Just one word of warning:- If the police find one of these on your person or in your car they can reckon you are 'Going equipped for Burglary'!
