And now for our next exciting installment:
Obstruction spanners/wrenches.
These were originally for the hard to get at bolts on car door hinges, some of which are a right bugger to get at, but I've found them a life save on various other locations on a car.
First we have the "Crescent" (not the brand but the shape) ring spanner.

Then there's the "S" type:
Even open ended spanners sometimes the smaller sizes are referred to as ignition spanners:

Obviously for a special application, though I've no idea as to what.
If you have a difficult to access nut or bolt, you can of course fabricate your own special spanner to deal with it.
I always keep an eye out at markets for old quality spanners, sockets and socket extension bars which I use to bend and/or cut and weld into the shape I need.
When I bend them I heat the area to be bent with an oxy/acet torch.
