Software version 0423 5 years 1 month ago #189576

Partial support for Spanish and French, now also available for Linux and MacOSX

Support for Wabco-D ABS ECU. This was developed and tested using an early Freelander 1 ECU however it seems that the protocol is the same as that used on Defenders; we just lack access to a Defender with ABS to try it out. Wabco-D ABS

Much increased list of error codes for RC5EC5 airbag ECU as used on classic MPI and JDM Minis and MGF/MGTF.

The previous version 0422 is here .

Note: we have now tested Wabco-D successfully on a TD5 Defender.

What age of Defender do you need access to Philip? I don't have one, but am on the LandyZone forum and could ask around?

My understanding is that Wabco-D was the only ABS module ever fitted to the Defender. I don't know the years that it was fitted but if a Defender has ABS then it should be relevant. It seems to be quite a rare option on them though.

There's a good chance I could be wrong, but thought that this is a Td5 model only? (Which probably means the same unit is also found on the Discovery 2)

The Disco 2 had a different ABS module that also did the air suspension, even if it wasn't actually fitted with air suspension.

I found a Defender with ABS. Version 0423 works fine on the Defender as well.
The only issue found so far (with both Defender and Freelander) is that if the engine is not running that the RPM displayed by pscan logged into the ABS ECU is not quite zero.
This will be fixed in a future version.
