Hi I have had my Pscan for a while now and have found it to be invaluable. I have been offered a 5AS at a reasonable price. is it possible to use my Pscan to test it off the car so I know its working?

Yes it is "possible" but if you want to test every input and output it's probably easier to fit it to a car to try it.
If you use pscan to read the EMS of the existing 5AS and then write the same EMS to the replacement one then you won't need to reconfigure the engine ECU.
