Well it's not my car but......... One of my idiot mates has this 07 Toyota Hilux 2wd ute in the @ 2yrs he's had the damned thing he has managed to tick off from his road kill bingo card, a wombat, a kangaroo and now a samba deer, he lives up in them thar hills! I'm waiting for him to hit a bloody whale next! With his luck he'll find one to hit up there on the mountain!
Anyway tomoz I'm off to see it I can straighten the bloody thing again! Being on an invalid pension, of course he has no money, so he is in a real bind, as there is no transport up there, it's not like he can hop on the bus the poor bastard is stranded!
If I can get it back on the road it will be sporting a bullbar this time........enough of this easy to shatter plastic bumper shit they stick on these things from the factory!
We like to have bullbars for very good reasons here in Oz!

Replace to following:
Bonnet, LH mudgaurd (wing), both headlights, indicators, grille, bumper (replace with bullbar), radiator, A/C condenser, receiver/drier, serpentine polyrib drive belt, fan shroud, cooling hoses, various bibs and bobs, and possibly the viscous clutch fan, bonnet hinges, radiator overflow tank etc.
Straighten RH mudgaurd,  radiator support panel and probably a few other bits

I picked up most of the parts yesterday, now need to organise paint. I reckon we can get this done for well under 1/2 of the panel shops quote of A$9000.
So far the cost is under A$1000. Not bad for brand new parts.
We took my ute to pick them up, the damned thing was running like a hairy goat, burning rich, when I got back I thought maybe the MAP sensor had shat itself so I rummaged though the spares and found another, went to fit it and found the vacuum hose to the sensor had gone as hard as a rock and split

Whacked a new bit of hose on......sorted!

That easy fix on the hose must have been a welcome surprise.
